The best free concerts you ever saw. I've been extra lucky, because I have seen major groups live for free! Free I say. These are major artists coming to free festivals. Cincinnati was known for lotsa free shit. Not no mo. lol
I mean, I have seen everybody: Living Colour, The Time, Duran Duran, Toad The wet Sprocket, Charlie Daniels Band, Chris Isaak, Cheap Trick--twice!, Talib Queli, Los Lobos, Joan Jett, singer from Cool and the Gang--shockingly good. Beat that kiss. I'll tell U what the Eye in the Pimp stand 4!

Back in 1997(?), Blockbuster sponsored a free music festival with No Doubt, Bush, and others that escape my old mind. You had to rent a said amount of movies to get the ticket, but, it was as free as that. The drinking water was free, too. We had a blast!!!

Does it count if you are part of the concert? Even if you're on stage for just one song? If not, then I don't have many where I got in for free. Michael Jackson was one. When he played Dublin in the early 90s. But I was very young at the time and don't really remember it. All I really remember is it was very loud. One I definitely DO remember though was Prince when he played at Malahide Castle, also in Dublin. We got free tickets for that one. Got there 6 hours early too just to guarantee we were right up at the front of the stage. And it was the best concert I've ever been to. A couple of other concerts I've seen for free are for artists who are either friends of mine or most people wouldn't know who they were. Mayer Hawthorne, Tuxedo, Ekkah, Boulevards and Diana Vickers. There's a few others too but these were the best ones.
