Lets talk about MJ History volume 2 DVD So I use to have History volume 2 on vhs when it first came out in 1997/1998 I literally wore out the vhs I had and I never got around to getting it on dvd until now For years I figured I kinda didn't need it because i have what I thought was the complete MJ music video collection on DVD called "Visions" Now I finally got the History volume 2 dvd on brand new condition thanks to a great seller on ebay.I watched the dvd which is flip sided this evening and for some reason the videos seem like they are in better quality I had to have this dvd because Vision didn't have the 1995 MTV performance and I noticed that the version of "You are not alone" on this dvd is different from the one that appears on visons It has MJ butt naked with angel wings and NO I'm not joking..but still cool to see Anyone else here have the history 2 set? I had to have it because I am a completist Does The dangerous short films and history volume 1 dvd contains videos that are not on the Visions set?? Another question I have is what's up with Slash continuing to guitar solo while MJ is trying to get him off stage? Was that part staged or was slash being a jerm? I have read somewhere that it was completely staged but then you have to ask why would they stage that? Either way I find it hilarious

I grew up in the 90's thinking the Slash thing was real haha.
One of the first compilations released on DVD from what I remember.

The things you mentioned were not the real things that were changing between the VHS and dvd version of History 2, and Visions.
1) The short film promo for History is exclusive to History 2. It's not on Visions at all. That controversy film cost 4 millions $ of 1995, IIRC. It's one of the most larger than life thing MJ ever did. 2) The MJ megamix from MJ's 80/90 hits was exclusive to the VHS version. 3) and yes, the quality picture on Visions is worst than on History dvd. Because in 2010 Sony/ The MJ estate, instead of remastering these videos, applied a shitty filter to " equalize" The picture. 4) History V2 omitted TDCAU Prison version. It was included on Visions. The VHS included a longer version of BOTDF with unreleased shots compared to the original version. A Wyclef Jean remix, IIRC. Not sure if it was included on the dvd version. As the V1, it still lacked She's Out of My Life and Man In The Mirror, which were both on The History project ( but were forgettable short films for MJ's standard) 5) History V2 included Smooth Criminal and Liberian Girl, despite these tracks having nothing to do with the History project. It contained, again, Thriller, which was already on HV1. 6) History V2 included lyrics subtitles, contrary to Visions. [Edited 4/27/22 10:13am]
