Miley Cyrus covers Nothing Compares 2 U All - on her new live album, Miley Cyrus covers NC2U in a mesh-up with Wrecking Ball. While I really like her voice normally, somehow this cover did not blow me away.

I love Miley because she's taken control of her life, her womanhood, and her artistry away from people who would've squeezed her into a Disneyfied existence sure to end in misery. Now she's one of the most iconic stars of her generation with a voice that is powerful and singular. It's sad that some folks can't get over a brief period where she stuck her tongue out a lot. Kinda like taking offense of any of the myriad weird and obnoxious things that exemplified prince's early days. | |
