Definately 1972-1984. Although I do love some of the material Angela Winbush produced on them in the late 80s. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Definately the '70s era but I caught them in Philly in the mid 90s, during the Mr. Big era, and will always remember being floored by Ron's intro while Ernie played the Godfather theme on the guitar. * How ya doin', Mr. Big?

I've been digging the Isleys The Real Deal album the past couple of days. My favorite Isleys jam right now is from this album It's Alright With Me with Chris Jasper sharing lead vocals with Ronald Isley. Dope album cover

Chris has said that he wanted to do more lead vocals on their albums, but the rest of the guys wasn't having it they only wanted Ronald to handle all the lead vocals.
Anyway,I need to pull this album out and give it a good listen. The title track is a jam!

Here's a serious question, who here would like to see a concert with the Isleys and the Jacksons together?
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
no,I think a better pairing would be the Isley Brothers and Earth,Wind and Fire. The two bands did a recent Verzuz episode together and it was well-received.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They already toured together, remember?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
yes I know.I attended that tour in 1998 and it was excellent but there's no reason that they can't tour again.

Try something different for a change

I was never interested in seeing the Jacksons without Michael
a perfect tour would be: Frankie Beverly and Maze-Earth Wind and Fire-The Isley Brothers
