Stevie Wonder's song "You and I"

I was just thinking about the lyrics to this song and I wonder if anyone ever heard it from the POV that the "you" person in the song is the one actually in love. And the singer feels like they can "conquer the world". As long as the other person is in love. Because really if there's two people but only one is in love anything is possible. They naturally fuel the relationship.

Both people in love is like two broke people trying to use what they can bring to the table (nothing they're both broke). But you get one out of two passionate people and really that's ideal.

The reason why I thought of the Stevie Wonder song is probably because I have had a thing lately about pronouns, adjectives and objectives when hearing songs.
