"Together" by Odyssey (1982) Odyssey - Together (1982) - YouTube
Odyssey is best known for their 1977 disco hit "Native New Yorker" but by 1982,they were putting out some truly funky jams. There was the Slave-like "Inside Out" and this infectious funk groove "Together" which features Nile Rodgers on guitar and Bernard Edwards on bass!

I'm not sure how rare, obscure or forgotten it is but one particular song I like that I never see anyone talk about is "Back To The Funk" by Stargard. I don't know how to post the video on here though

Imagination looks pretty goofy. (Did the guy on the right fall down?) But I do like the shorts.

Why the hell has Stevie Wonder and Gary Byrd’s jam The Crown never been remastered and released? WHY?

Yeah sure does especially when you see their videos or live music performances back in the day. They are from England and I remember their biggest hit in the states Just An Illusion was all over the radio. When I first heard Body Talk I went nuts. I just got lucky and found a vinyl copy of the album brand new on CD Universe this week. Don't laugh at my funk

"In The Cabin Of My Uncle Jam (P Is The Funk)" by Parliament Funkadelic (1976)----one question: why did George Clinton and the guys keep this great jam in the vaults?! This would have fit perfectly on The Clones Of Dr.Funkenstein.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
