Debby Boone - You Light Up My Life vs Boyz II Men - End Of The Road In 1977, Debby Boone released her big smash hit, "You Light Up My Life", which stayed at #1 for 10 weeks, 15 years later, Boyz II Men unleashed their Babyface penned monster smash hit, "End Of The Road", which stayed at #1 for 13 weeks, breaking Ms. Boone's record of 10 weeks. This year will mark the 45th anniversary of YLUML and the 30th anniversary of EOTR. Which is you fave or do you like both?

B2M no contest, but it makes me remember learning to play YLUML on the recorder in the 2nd grade. Wonder if EOTR got that same honor for some Gen Z kid?

Debby!Don't know why she didn't have more hits she had vocal skills and looks. B2M I like as well, but that song was overplayed.

my mother had the "You Light Up My Life" 45 single. That song was HUGE! It's actually the biggest, most successful single of the entire 70s decade. The funny thing is,very few people remember the movie of the same name.It starred Didi Conn (who played "Frenchie" in 'Grease' the next year). As I recall,it was a boring flop of a film.

Either. Both can be annoying if not in the mood. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

It's funny last year I found the original album of Boone in great condition at the thrift store recently and picked it up. Haven't listened yet, but as a kid I remember it was a huge hit and of course overplayed like any song released that year. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!
