The Power: Which Version Is Better?

Lotta history behind the song. Snap! sampled a song from Chill Rob G, illegally, then eventually recorded their own version which became the one we know. It was an acapella rap from Rob G. The song samples other vocals, too. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Since both versions have the same BPMs in these videos, it was a BLAST to play each one against another in FULL DJ EFFECT!!! One has the history, the other had more refinery. Both are great! "Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends" | |

They're 99.99% the same song seeing as it's Chill Rob G's vocals on both. I chose Chill Rob's version because it's th e original and I resented those that stole it from him and repackaged as Snap!

They have a jazz version of "The Power" on the work playlist sometimes, its pretty catchy. I'll try to find out the artist. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

Interesting read. Thanks for posting. * I had Chill Rob's "Ride The Rhythm" on tape back in the day. Great album with several good songs, including "The Power", so my vote will go with Chill Rob G.
