RIP Mark Lanegan

This talent will be missed. I've seen him perform on more than one occasion and his voice, presence and writing was like no other. Dark, serious and a presence just being in the same room. His music will live forever but it just sucks.

Yeah, this was a shock. Very sad.
I seen him live once, good gig from what I remember.
I was never into Screaming Trees, but was a big fan of his solo albums.

Great voice, he'll be missed.

Such an absolute lost.

Did see him several times live.

With Screaming Trees and solo.

He was the epitome of R'R with a soul of gold

and a voice of brutal glory.

Just a week ago he was here in belgium for rehearsals.

Still had so much more in store...

...so young... goddamnit.

I heard he had covid, and had difficulties to recover.

The trees are screaming

The beast is gone.

I've been reading about his covid experience in his book "Devil in a Coma" and while it's a messed up story, I love how his mind worked. This is in addition to what I loved about him already...

If you haven't already read it, I really recommend his memoir/bio "Sing Backwards And Weep." It's quite a story.
