Hello?! Sade...over due for the next album! Listening to Sade tonight--great music. I last saw the band in 2010 following their latest album. Sade, the vocalist, and the band were terrific. John Legend opening was a yawn. C'man Sade! Put out a new one! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Agreed. I read somewhere that it’s already finished, not sure why it’s still not out yet.

The space between her last couple of albums was 8, then 10 years. So now, 2022, is 12. So you're actually right on the money - she's due. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yes it’s been that long!

can't even remeber her last album "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

Her birthday was Sunday. I went looking for a new picture of her. Just her and a slop bucket on her country estate from the JULY 2020 issue of British Vogue.

I'm not sure if many people care anymore? Don't get me wrong, I love her music and have all her cd's (yes cd's ), but it's been so long since she's released any new music and I've kind of lost interest.

Not exactly true. The group had a couple of songs on soundtracks a few years ago. I know one was for A Wrinkle In Time. I've seen that movie. I forgot what movie the other song was in. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Don't they all pretty sound the same? FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

I agree she has a consistent sound but the allure of a new Sade album (to me) is what they will do with that sound. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

Feels like yesterday I remember us talking about soldier of love when it came out

Soldier of Love was a good album...and the title track was amazing live on the stage in 2010. Love how Sade (the woman) danced in her bare feet and Sade (the band) is immaculate live. Would love to see them live again..but I'll settle for a new album. John Legend, on the other hand, after seeing him open for Sade in 2010, I wouldn't pay to see him again. There was a switch in sound starting with Love Deluxe in 1992, towards a more organic and even more chillout sound. The first three album are classics, for sure, but the last three are the true gems if you ask me. So yeah, a seventh one would be nice A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Maybe i'll take a listen as 2 me they were always pretty generic. I loved them in concert but from what I can remember it was like a long ass 1.5 hour song. FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

Sade is one of these acts that have a very defined, very specific sound, so I wouldn't use the word "generic": no one does what they do. And from the 2 live albums I have, which I hardly ever listen to, I'd say their music is much easier to enjoy in studio form. The downside is that one may like their sound or not: so if you don't like it, I guess it's just not for you and it's totally fine. But when I need some really comforting, chillout atmosphere, Sade's later period and Morcheeba are 2 bands I often turn to.
