Johnny Adams

I recently made a new discovery with the music of Johnny Adams. His music is predominately New Orleans blues/r & b based, which is not really my favorite style of music generally, but he is truly one of the greats. He has one of the best singing voices I've ever heard. And his backup band on his songs were incredible.

I discovered him from the first song that was played in the movie "Bowfinger" and was used again in the recent "Anger Management". The song was "There is Always One More Time". This has grown to be one of my favorite songs of all time. I couldn't find it on Kazaa, but I could download a full mp3 of it on CDNow. And I also got to listen to his rich catalog that spans from the 70s to the late nineties. He died in 1998.

If you don't know- check him out. You won't regret it. Is anybody here familiar with his work?
