— The 64th Grammy Awards ceremony(whom I've attended a few times), planned for Jan. 31 at Crypto.com Arena, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 surge, according to The Recording Academy.

Just do them online, you only present 12 awards on the show anyway and I really dont need to hear anymore puke enducing speeches from people like Billie Eilish about who she thinks should have won an award.

Yup, Billie saying how she deserved it not her, which I am sure made the other nominees like the Weekend feel like, take your award and go take a seat.

The Grammy tribute to Prince(r.i.p.) during the pandemic did VERY well in the ratings. My mother even watched it with me. She had no idea Prince(r.i.p.) wrote all those songs.

These kind of postponments are more to do with unions that run the shows than COVID that has to be known first of all. Because it is clear that now things will NOT be shut down, there is no way that is going to happen, especially in the private sector of businesses, but that building where the event is going to take place, they have not stopped other events, this is a decision on the part of the unions that do that show because it really does not want to deal with any blowback on insurances of health of staff to put this show together. But the venue per say has been having basketball games there every day, so COVID doesnt jump over basketball fans its a choice by the shows producers and unions. This is why I told people last year when shows started up again, it was going to be smaller shows that could survive the days of big shows and tours are GONE and they are, you really have to scale it down now or pick and chooose or even stay local for your bookings. Queen just cancelled their whole 2022 tour which i believe was all overseas, a few here have moved dates from january to later spring and summer and some are just going on and doing what shows they can get in, in the states they can. But small shows are going to be the way.

Yeah exactly it really is going to depend on the artist where the tour is going, the states, the venues, and the size of the show you bring with you. Last year I saw more shows than I ever did since I have been going to shows, BUT they were all small shows, nothing General Admission (never doing those again and it has nothing to do with covid), and nothing big venue wise. Now protocols here in nyc are very strict for indoor venues, especially small shows ones that have seats, tables, sometimes food and drinks. But those are the ones I tend to go too and those are the easier ones for an artist to not cancel, smaller, no big road crews, etc...because all it takes is one positive and they shut a show down , I saw 21 last year and the first one i saw was in late june so I saw alot quick and none ever were pushed or cancelled, and thats very good. But I do feel that a alot of artists see the writing on the wall with traveling state to state, I mean forget overseas and country to country, its becoming a huge pain in the ass to book and then have people buy tickets just so you blow out the door, people are weary of this some when covid hit in 2020 just postponed they arent doing that now, people want their money back most of the time the promise of a show in 9 months or whatever is not working anymore, so if you are doing shows, do them small, or on. very small scale, cause right now I see cancellations but I also see artists jumping at gigs at every cost.
