I have to say I saw the hooters the other week . I was not looking forward to it ... but i would say I did like it .

Did not realize how many songs i knew ... plus some of their older stuff was funky ...

The week after that i saw the "fleshtones" .... that was different and a much smaller venue .

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Erykah Badu 5/5

She was great. Electric vocals and arrangements for her very subdued tracks. She is literally the new Chaka live on stage.

Going to see NKTOB, En Vogue, Rick Astley and Salt N Pepa next

Here's how old I am:

The last concert I went to was Bruno Mars.

I paid GOOD money for GREAT seats.

I had to stand the whole time because people would not sit down.

For that amount of money

I

DON'T

WANT

TO

STAND!

Needless to say my concert days are behind me.

It definitely wasn't THAT much, but it was pricey. Which I'm kinda used to but like I said before....

You actually can save some money and SIT down in the balcony! We do this sometimes anyway, when the floor seats are too costly for a group of people. Just sit our fine asses up in row one... of the balcony lol

Last show we saw was Carly Rae Jepsen with Ralph as the opening act, in September 2019. cool

Had tickets to Celine Dion April 2020 obviously purchased pre-Covid, but we gave up when the postponed date of August 2021 was moved to March 2022. neutral

No concerts to look forward to here. All I do these days is kick myself for shows I missed. sad

That's good in theory, but the way they sell tickets now you don't really get to pick your own seats. I would LOVE front row balcony but you have to have a lot of luck for the computer to pick you.

I tried to buy Steely Dan tickets for my brother and I and he wanted front row balcony. Sadly those seats were already reserved for membership concertgoers.

Thing is I wasn't even on the floor. The seats I had had a really nice view and wasn't too far away, but everyone was just too hyperactive and wouldn't sit down! I'm tall so I felt sorry for the person sitting behind me.

Aaaand we just got an e-mail from Ticketmaster officially cancelling Céline’s tour. I don't think they are legally allowed to postpone it again.

My last concert was Jane Birkin performing Serge Gainsbourg songs with an orchestra in March, 2020--the week before nationwide lockdown.

My next show is L'Impératrice in April--rescheduled from late March, 2020. They are from France so it remains to be seen if they will be able to get their visas in time for their North American tour.

Honestly, after attending between 70 and 80 shows a year and then none in the last 22 months, I'm pretty much over going to concerts. I'm only going to the one in April because the ticket was already purchased years ago. I don't plan on buying any tickets to new shows. Thank you, pandemic.

Having said all that, the artist who released my favorite album of 2021, Clara Luciani, has a single North American date scheduled for Montréal in June. I'm strongly considering driving up there just for that show, I love her album Cœur that much.

La Femme is playing there around the same time. And here in NY that month too. I'd risk going outside to see them again. Only French artists can get me out of the house now apparently.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised that more people haven't gone to concerts much since before the pandemic. I hadn't been to any until this year when the variants died down and I was so thrilled to get back to seeing a few live concerts in local venues I wasn't sure would last the pandemic. Plan to go to more when this variant subsides. Ain't young anymore and I love live music. Going to continue to go when it is "safer." Just like I intend to see my son and his wife in Chicago later this year. cool
