I mean, it sorta needs those horns to be a viable "never gets tiring," doesn't it?

There are really too many to list. I'm a huge fan of 70's and 80's music and if I like a song, I rarely get tired of it. A few I love hearing anytime, anywhere are:

Bee Gees - Stayin Alive
John Lennon - Imagine
George Michael - Waiting for that day
Prince - Sometimes it snows in April & If I Was Your Girlfriend
Carlos Santana - Samba Pa Ti
Queen - Somebody to Love
Aretha Franklin - Angel
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Rod Stewart - The Killing of Georgy
Rolling Stones - Memory Motel
Bob Marley - Three Little Birds

I could go on and on razz

Great lists! biggrin I feel bad for the artists that are sick performing certain songs, but there must be some special ones that still give them the same pleasure as the listener.

Chubby Checker has been doing The Twist since 1960, which will be 62 years next year. razz

Both people are tired of their relationship, place a personal ad in the paper, both unaware of the other. They both answer each other's add and agree to meet at a bar. When she walks in, he recognizes her just by the curve of her face. They then realize they have more in common than they ever realized. I always thought it was such a clever story.

I may add to the list later.

I'm actually more into the album version. Horns? lol The part that sounds like five synth keys at once?

Yes, in the 80s we called those horns. LOL But yes, the extra production remix is better. It's just the album with a flare.

No I didn't/don't 😃. I know the video is shorter. I tend to gravitate to the longer or full length versions of songs (thank you Prince). 6, 7 minutes is the perfect length for a good song imo 😎.

I just discovered recently (like last week on SiriusXM) that this song was written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

I just discovered recently (like last week on SiriusXM) that this song was written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

I know.

Robert Plamers is a really fantastic version.

I like Cherelle's too, but Palmer's one is cool and funky as hell.

He must've loved whatever came from the Prince camp, having a song of Prince (''Lust You Always'') given to him by Prince... I wonder if he ever rerecorded it.

The song is fierce, and don't know if it was up Robert's alley. wink

The this Jam & Lewis penned track...

I even wonder what Prince thought of Robert Palmer ?

Did they acutally ever met ?

Anyone ?

By the way, Robert Palemer's ''Pride'' album is so asolutely great, everyone here should try it.

I always loved his music, and this ''Pride'' album, imho, was Palmer's 'Lovesexy' sort of album in his career. So far ahead with the use of synths and different styles of music. Layers of his own vocals. A album that for me never seems to fail.

There's so many. Mainly stuff from the 70's. Two though, that come to mind are Spirits In The material World and Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by The Police. Those are two of the best album 1, 2 punches ever. I still get goose bumps when hearing those two songs(and the whole album for that matter). Another one is Trying to Make A fool of Me by The Delfonics music

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
