Yola!

So, I'm watching The Graham Norton Show last night, and Yola was the music guest. I've never heard of her, but goddamn if she ain't amazing!

She sings, she plays guitar, and her music feels like a cross between Angie Stone and Sting. Just rich, textured, great melody. She sang "Starlight."

I know some of y'all have heard of her, but some of us haven't. She's a breath of fresh air.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I posted a thread about her earlier this year and got crickets in response. What a voice! Her album "Stand For Myself" is great.

I must have missed it. Sometimes the plethora of new or sorta unheard artists gets overwhelming for folks sometimes, you probably included. But often times the best way I end up finding folks is on an award show, or something like The Graham Norton Show.

She's just fantastic, tho!
