The face filters on Instagram are a bit much, for me. She does'nt look like Madonna. If those are fillers, then she's gone too far. That fucking grill in her mouth, her pouty lips, or just not able to fucking speak with that in her mouth - it's old kitsch.

I remember her on Howard Stern and she had that thing in her mouth. She could barley talk, but thought it was cool. Everyone's just supposed to ignore this thing in her mouth, inhibiting her ability to speak normally? Girl, stop that.

I love Madge, and I get her schtick in life. But the instagram stuff lately is just bizarre.

No one here has the knowledge to speak on her children or what they think. She's their mom, and they've seen a lot. THey also know the difference between instagram and real life.

Her looks doesn't have anything to do with her album(s) or her talent. M's always gonna do what she wants, regardless of social media. At 63 years old, she ain't cared yet.

Madge hasn't gone somewhat overboard, she has gone WAY overboard with altering her appearance...she's barely recognizable. She definitely is not growing old gracefully.

no I've felt for a while now that she's in some sort of crisis but I can't put my finger on it. she's in some sort of funk and I hope working on her back catalogue and seeing how much respect she will get for it (I mean, come on, she will get some mad props for her older albums when they get rereleased, remastered and expanded) she might shock out of it.

than again, maybe this is who she is. and if so, good for her. as long as she's happy and her kids are ok, that's pretty much all that matters.

Or should we accept an imposed general denominator of what is allowed and possible regarding appearances?

Where is the so called freedom in all this?

I thought that freedom meant that there is no need to critisize anyone for their looks, at any time in their lives. 

Try to let it be, and don't let conservatism creep in - is what I learned. 

The world is so much better off without all these irrelevant opinions. 

I made exactly the same mistakes in the past, and I hope/believe I learned my lesson for the future.

Huge fan here, but her Instagram winds me up to ... I only continue to follow in case there's news of a new album or project.

I guess everyone is free to dress and look however they want, but ...

Up until M started having all the filler, butt lifts, etc, I thought she was genuinely beautiful, and the crush I had on her since I was a kid should no sign of ending. Now though, she just looks plastic and a bit alien like, and my crush has gone. A selfish way of looking at her I guess, but it is what it is.

I also thought she would continue giving the middle finger to the establishment and what is "expected" of a woman (unfairly so) by growing in to the latter stages of her career naturally. But it seems like she's conformed by trying to fight off growing age with the help of fakery. That seems so against what I thought Madonna stood for all these years ... be natural, be yourself, don't do something just because society expects it of you.
