Latoyas albums: country vs Motown classics Who here has heard these two Latoya albums? I never have, are they worth checking out? | |

The only LaToya album I've heard is the first one, because I have it. I also have the maxi single for Heart Don't Lie. It's interesting that Howard Hewett has sung backgrounds on songs by LaToya, Michael, & Janet. Howard is also on the Eddie Murphy song Yeah, which has Mike & Janet on it You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

I saw latoyas first album at a wrecka stow and considered getting it cause I love night time lover

Heart Don't Lie is pretty much a duet between LaToya & Howard, although it's not officially credited as such. They even performed it together on Solid Gold. But Howard is not in the music video. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
