Jak Bailey a Prince copycat or an underrated artist?

Many orgers like to dismiss Jak and if he gets mentioned it's because of his I Go Wild Prince influenced song but have u guys check it out cause songs like You Only You and Do You Really Want It are realy good songs with great hooks.

Well, never heard of him before.

Thanx for the discovery.

Just checking out the tunes ''I go Wild'' and ''You Only You'', ''Don't Make Me Wait'' ...

Sounds like Mazaratti outtakes on first listen.

Can't hear the Prince influence except for the Minn. sound.

Not all that bad - of course that Minneapolis sound is a huge rip.

Always had a weakness for this sound.

I like his 2014 lick ''Long Live The Funk''.

His ''Don't Make Me Wait''

is a serious rip off of Prince's ''Do Me, Baby'',

Can you hear it ?

ANYBODY who remembers Exotic Storm gets HIGH marks in MY book, Soul! I just read this and smiled ear 2 ear when u mentioned them! Of course, Epic/CBS gave them absolutely NO promotion whatsoever, so they fell 2 the WAYside. Do u also remember Smoke City (also Epic/CBS, 1985?) The last tune on their sole album, "I Really Want You," entitled "Time To Jam," had a Prince-y kinda vibe! Much luv, my brutha! U got GREAT ears (still!) <3

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Yeah I remember that one too smile

Lots of Prince-sounding stuff on the radio back then (1985-86).
