Fleetwood Mac: Stevie and Lindsey duke it out in the press The article is long-ish, but juicy. Buckingham calls Stevie "alone," and Stevie says the band was toxic. Here are some bits: " don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

I wish they could just settle their differences, reunite and do the big farewell tour that the fans deserve.Whatever “drama” there is between Lindsey and Stevie….just work it out, please!

the funny thing is....based on recent comments by Mick,it seemed as if they were patching things up and possibly getting ready to reunite....but these new comments by Lindsey may change all that Stevie seems really pissed.

I like them both musically but the facts are Stevie fills up arenas and Lindsey hope to sellout theatres. I don't have an opinion about the firing but this is a bullshit way for him to be dealing with it.

I really don't want to take sides and there's probably alot of stuff that we don't know....but all I'm gonna say is that it seems like Lindsey got a raw deal they fired him, replaced him with two other guys and carried on as if everything was normal.Just seems wrong to me.

Yes, from the outside looking in that seems to be the case. I just don't have the insider information and perspectives. If it was just longstanding issues with no extroadanry incident right before the firing, then yes that seems extreme because Stevie and/or whoever else didn't have to agree to the reunion to begin with.

after Lindsey’s new comments,it’s hard to imagine a reunion now such a shame that it has to end like this

Yeah,I wish that he would just call her up,invite her to lunch, sit down and discuss it together....as opposed to going to the media with it.I understand his anger and frustration, but I think he just made everything worse
in other Lindsey Buckingham news...he's got a new solo album due next week.

For Lindsey to be able to sue the band and get a settlement for it, then I doubt we know it all and that Stevie did not in some way want him out for some reason. Honestly the band is a mess and has been for awhile, I don't think we will ever see it as it was again. I thought about something with Stevie Nicks, just an offshoot question: " don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

This is sad to see. I love them all. Likely 2nd to Prince, this group was the soundtrack to my youth. No one looks good here.

I agree. This is sad and unfortunate. It's also embarassing
but if they ever do a biopic on Fleetwood Mac,there's LOT of drama to make it VERY interesting, lol.

There's been over 20 different members since the group began in the 1960s. Plus there's the early 1970s band Stretch, known as "fake Mac" & Chicken Shack. I don't think all of them could get much attention in a 90 minute or 2 hour movie. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Lindsey Buckingham sugges...y over me'
Lindsey Buckingham suggests Stevie Nicks is still in love with him: 'It is possible that she has never been completely over me'
“There were a number of years where I wasn’t over her,” Buckingham told the the Times in a revealing new interview. “It is possible that she has never been completely over me either.”

Oh brother! cocaine & ego, boy. Horrible combination. I love their music, but these rock & roll feuds are so corny to me. It’s the same thing with David Crosby & CSNY, Everytime I see one of them talking about the other I know it’s gonna be some bullshit, amazing music from both bands but all I wanna do is smoke to it and press play, everything else is just for the birds.

At this point,I feel like.....if they can't get it together and work things out, just call it a day and retire they're all in their 70s now, anyway.Everyone should just "go their own way",as the song says.
Unfortunately,it's the fans who are getting screwed. They won't get that big, final farewell tour.I'd rather just play one of their old albums and remember them in a positive light.

CSNY is like the avengers of dickheads, sans Graham Nash who seems to be the most laid back & the peacemaker of the group, everyone of them has his own unique individual asshole super power. I think the folksy image is a reaction of Woodstock, but they’re certainly far more than the genre. I’d urge every music geek/audiophile - no matter which genre - to check the self titled debut & their sophomore “Deja Vu” along with David Crosby’s debut from the same year for good measure, the music is a mixture of many styles, they compliment each other’s harmonies perfectly, not to mention the productions of those albums were so sonically immaculate & fresh, they stood the test of time, unlike many of their peers that sound dated now IMO. These albums also had input from outside musicians such as Santana, Joni Mitchell and Jerry Garcia, who played amazing pedal steel guitar solos in them (I love the instrument especially when it’s not played in its traditional style). Out of them all, David had the most interesting career musically. He reminds me of Joni Mitchell in the sense that he always relied on making music based on personal experiences and thrived on musical development, which made his later output to be his most interesting to me, after he cleaned himself from drugs & all the bullshit, surrounded himself with younger tangents, he made the self titled CPR record, which is one of my fave albums. Lots of jazzy & Steely Dan influence in there.

They have been doing this for over 40 years. It just must be tiring for all of them at their age now to keep on with personalities and things that wont change. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.
