I met her (and the rest of the group) in 2008 backstage when they were guests on The X-Factor. I had been eliminated from the competition early on but I was still there for all the live shows to support my friend who went on to reach the semi-final. She was really nice. They all were, in fact. I can't say I'm a fan of their music at all but they are all super nice people. I was only 18 at the time and even though they weren't that much older than I was they kind of have me advice on things and told me not to give up. In truth, I didn't really need the pep talk but they didn't have to take time out of what they were doing to give it. So it was much appreciated. Sarah, especially, was particularly supportive. I don't want to make out like we were great friends or anything like that. We didn't keep in touch for any significant period of time. A few texts and stuff for a few weeks. Nothing major. But still, it's sad to think that she's dead. Especially someone so young. | |
