New Prince: did you spot that person yet?

Hello,

Did you already spot the new Prince person?

I stumbled upon Nandi Bushell, active in the rock corner of the spectrum, who plays drums but also bass, huitar, sax (!) and perhaps some more at age eleven.

Her composing skills will have to grow a bit, as well as performance skills. I guess they will.

.

As a drummer she has at, this time, an interesting style wich shows the energy she puts into it and the fun she gets out of it..

.

You can find her on Youtube. You can find the show as well as her piece as well as the 'official' backstage version.

.

Do you know about other multitalents like this?

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

If we are talking musical ability, Nandi is still far away from what Prince was. She's just a kid and by her age, it seems Prince had more talent than her already.

Her appearance with the Foo Fighters this week was amazing though. She crushed it and I'm glad she got to do that.

For sheer "one man band/he can play it all brilliantly" quality, that person is Jacob Collier. He's by no means the pop star performer that Prince was, but as a still-young musical prodigy, I haven't seen better in recent years.

Louis Cole is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist/singer/composer/arranger/sound engineer/video editor who does almost all things by himself. He is also known as one half of the band KNOWER. He is not very famous yet (and might never be), but he is very entertaining and makes high quality original music. He does many genres like Prince did and funk is one of his main ingredients. Great live performances too. Most of his videos are extremely low budget, but great nevertheless. An extremely talented and creative person IMO.

He will soon be touring my home country The Netherlands playing with the famous Metropole Orchestra. He might not be 'the new Prince' as he is too quirky and (mostly) not commercial/poppy enough, but his creativity and work ethos come close IMO.

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

You wont find one..I mean you will but Prince was marketed/sold as a child prodigy who could record an album by himself..which is something to say in 1976 (even if every memeber of GCS/Champagne could do the exact same thing).

Today that's even less of a spectacle as the average person has those capabilites in their smartphone.

As much as I hate to admit this..Prince Nelson/Andre Anderson IN 2021 would be IG/tiktok legends and MAAAAYBE flavor of the week on complex news.

Blasphemy. I know.

Prince doesnt become "the PRINCE we know" without obscene amounts of advance money and creative freedom from the fertile ages of 18-27. Matthew Whitiker cant even get that type of backing and I dont need to tell you who HE (potentially) would/could be "the second coming" of: https://www.youtube.com/w...9DfrqL_494

And thats a dub cuz you dont get STEVIE without motown's notorious "performance/musicianship school"

The man himself made a song back in 2009, which he titled quite simply and plainly:

"(There'll Never B) Another Like Me."

'Nuff said.
