Behind The Music 2021 They're slowly showing up on Paramount+. They seem to be a retelling of the story, with a lot of hindsight and new interviews w/ the artist and others in the story.
I watched the Busta Rhymes one last night. Good story, and I learned a lot about him that I didn't know. I never watched the first one. I never knew he had a baby die that he never got to meet while alive.
The other short note on the screen was that "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See Them" is a sample of a Seals & Croft song, "Sweet Green Fields." So I went to find their song on YouTube. And wow - I had no idea.
I most enjoyed the Huey Lewis one, since his story has changed greatly since the last airing, with the onset of Meniere's disease. In fact, in the first few seconds, he mentions he can't hear the interviewer. He talks about having extreme vertigo and losing hearing, then trying to go on stage the first time (not knowing what was going on with him). I love so much of HL&TN music, so to hear such a definite end of their output is a bummer. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |
