Britney Spears asks for end of conservatorship at court hearing

Source: https://consequence.net/2...vatorship/

.

This is absolutely fucked up. To even say those things might have taken her a lot of strength.

They had a entire commentary on BBC. No. I'm not going out protesting for Britney. But it should be interesting from a legal standpoint to see what happens.

I have never been a fan of Britney as I don't feel she has much talent and she certainly can't sing, however, she has been doing her thing for a couple of decades and has a huge fan base, so obviously some people like her music. Having said this, I read the transcript and I think she handled herself very well. She deserves to manage her own life and make her own decisions going forward.

I hope she gets free. Besides her talk, I feel she will have a stronger case if she can prove she has the type of support she needs. She may suffer from a serious mental illness, but that is no reason for her to be a slave to her father for the rest of her life. If she can show a strong loving relationship and support from her mother or someone else close...then the judges should end this.

Also can the father demonstrate in court that what he is doing is in her best interest...follow the money...if not...times up pops.

No 40 year old woman who has worked since she was a minor should be told she cannot have a baby and forced to stay in her home like a jail cell.

If she wanna be crazy by herself let her. She has a man let him take care of her like she wants. Everyone else mooching off HER money has to go.

Its like she was put to jail for having a mental breakdown. What kind of legal system is this? And she has to answer to the people she also pays? What a world...

It has always amazed me that the court system can't smell an obviously rotten fish right in front of their nose. It is astounding how her unsuccessful, allegedly alcoholic, and disengaged father was thrust into being her dictator when she doesn't even get to vote. The immense amount of money here should have made the whole thing way more cautions with plenty of checks and balances. I don't know whether or not she currently needs some type of conservatorship, but certainly she deserves the least restrictive one possible and a chance to prove that she doesn't need one.

Yeah. I guess that is the most shocking thing. That the court turns a blind eye and looks the other way, without any accountabiity and not really listening to the person in question.
