Bolstered somewhat by lead singer Rod Stewart's recent solo success with "Maggie May", it was their most successful album worldwide, peaking at No. 6 in the US, and reaching No. 2 in the UK. It also contains their biggest US hit, the swaggering "Stay with Me" (No. 6 in the UK, No. 17 in the US), and the album itself would be certified gold by the RIAA in 1972. 40 year-old vinyl LP "Walk Away" by Donna Summer. Had this on CD but never on vinyl. The record looks scratched and scuffed up but plays beautifully--hardly a crackle! What a difference in sound!

Giving this Styx vinl a second chance tonight... Played it on the Technics SL-20 that I rehabilitated and it skipped too much... May have been due to trying to adjust the speed rather than the scratches. So far on my go-to Technics SL-23 it sounds great! We shall see...

R&B Love Jams. Luther Vandross - Give Me The Reason.  One of my top favorite vocalist. I miss this dude. Great Songwriter as well and he sang background for Bowie! Latin Love Jams. Danny Rivera - Hits for Love. I remember him as a little kid. My family would play his albums. He has a cool different type voice that is unique singing style that you know it's him. I own some of his stuff on CD and a duets LP with Eydie Gorme who's Spanish phrasing was fantastic. She grew up in Spanish Harlem. Not in the greatest shape, but plays OK.
