Dionne Warwick new documentary - Don't Make Me Over

Ms. Warwick announced on her Twitter today:

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will be premiering my documentary “Don’t Make Me Over” and with a great deal of pride I must congratulate my business partner and producer of the documentary, Dave Wooley. It was 5 years in the making and I’m happy to say it has been well worth the wait. I’m thrilled to be able to share this incredible news with all of you. How cool is that!

TIFF returns September 9-18, 2021. Digital tickets and packages go on sale June 30 at tiff.net.

I'm unaware where how it'll be distributed in the U.S.

I wonder if they'll go into why her and Aretha hated each other. Like, really go into it.

TIFF's twitter noted:

Directed by Dave Wooley and David Heilbroner, DIONNE WARWICK: DON’T MAKE ME OVER reveals the intimate stories behind an artist who smashed through cultural, racial and gender barriers to become the soundtrack for generations.

Dionne is so great.I have enjoyed her music for so many years. Her 1979 comeback album,‘Dionne’,is my favorite. The song “Deja Vu” (produced by Isaac Hayes) is heavenly…..a truly hypnotic track!

This documentary sounds interesting.

^^This^^. The "Dionne" album was played constantly in my house when I was a kid. My dad grew up with Dionne back in the day (in East Orange N.J.)...I remember also watching her HBO concert special around the time that album came out. That was a great concert. Didn't Burt Bacarach and Barry Manilow help out on the "Dionne" album?

"I'll Never Love This Way Again" is such an epic ballad under his tutelege.

I love her post-disco 1982 pop album with the Bee Gees, Heartbreaker.
