Lil Nas X? Nah, he and his blood infused Satan shoes can go have several seats somewhere.

I guess you're not into Sammy Davis Jr. At one time Sammy was an actual member of the Chruch Of Satan, although this was not really publicized. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

True, but the glaring difference is that Sammy Davis Jr and Prince were immensely multi-talented artists, and Lil Nas X is no more than a talentless, unoriginal, female impersonator...keep it 100...he plays no musical instruments, he cant sing, he cant rap... his whole act consists of shock value and overly promiscuous alternative lifestyle sexual antics...Sammy did none of that, and Prince was a master of all musical trades...and to be honest, i wasnt a fan of Prince's earlier antics either and have been very clear and open about that, while often stating i was not a fan early on, and i thought he was a weirdo up until i saw "Purple Rain"...

It was? I know Sammy always talked about joining Judaism & being a Black Jew. I doubt he would have openly talked about Satanism in the USA, a largely Christian country. That would have killed his career. Look at all of those parents in the 1970s & 1980s trying to ban heavy metal music because they claimed it promoted devil worship & suicide. Even back in the 1950s, some white preachers said rock n roll was "devil music". Ironically, Jimmy Swaggart's cousin is Jerry Lee Lewis. They're also cousins with Mickey Gilley. Some older white people said white performers doing rock were n-lovers. That's one of the reasons some records by black performers had white models on the cover and not the acts themselves. So the parents of white teens would think the records were by white singers. People in southern USA burned Beatles records/posters in the 1960s because of John Lennon's Jesus comment, which was taken out of context. The Beatles plane got shot at in Texas. No, the split was not contrived or planned. If you'd watch the Fallon clip, you'd see the dress rehearsal (which is sometimes used for skits or performances on SNL should something happen) and what was supposed to happen. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

You gotta see the Jimmy Fallon/Dave Grohl interview with Lil Nas X where they play the rehearsal. It is pretty obvious why he had to skip over it

- Why compare popular artists for their results levels, in search for glaring differences ? Music is no sports. Never has been - awards are always been organised by the music industry for instance. Just sayin' But you were wright, Prince is a weirdo - still is way after his death. Peace though. -

Poor guy. I’m not a fan but its good he’s open about his sexuality and flaunting it in a climate where being lgbtq and black is still seen as taboo. And he made a hellish video cause he was tying it back to experienced of being told he’ll go to hell for being gay

And it is interesting how quick people are to jump to words such as disgusting, satan, and destroying hip hop. There certainly is an element of homophobia in the reactivity about him. My teenagers don't agree about much in regards to music, but they both like Little Nas. Their generation is all about pushing gender and sexual oreintation boudaries, so his being so open about himself in the extremely homphobic hiphop world is a bonus! For me,I just waiting for the next Frank Ocean release.
