In UK this is news because of a tv AD that made him famous. Madonna gave him the catchy "each time you break my heart"

Minimal talent and voice, but his second album, "US", is great late 80's US pop beore his Euro stuff later on....big in Europe but a no hit wonder in USA and a one hit wonder in his native UK.

"Tell me", which features Madonna again, is a great pop song, as is "turn it up", which is pure, uplifting pop sunshine LOL

"Count on me" and the jolly filler "I cant live without your love" are nice too

"Tell me" is prime Pat Leonard too. Not too far away from his work with Peter Cetera at the time. Summer bliss biggrin

You beat me to posting this.

Nick Kamen got around and had a lot of gigs. He was famously in that Levi's ad where the guy takes off all his clothes in a laundromat and stands there in his undies.

Madonna and Stephen Bray wrote and produced for him, and yeah M sang background on "Tell Me."

He was young at 59, and died from bone marrow cancer.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

"I promised myself", written by him, is a great pop song that gets played to this day. It's a classic:

So sad, i'm a big fan.

He didn't make a lot of albums, but his music is very feel good.

With the first singles you could hear Madonna's influence.

Later he left the 80's sound, i really liked his Move Until We Fly album.

After Whatever, Whenever is stopped making music I guess.

Sad he passed away this young.

I remember him he kind of looked like Tony Curtis. I remember he was with Madonna a bit before she tired of him. Model actress Tawny Kitaen passed too. Dang both died at 59. RIP to both.
