D-Train "You're The One For Me"

A Latin soul band covers the D-Train tune but uses Prince's live arrangement from George Lopez. It kicks.

I don't know the group, but the YT channel is Soultone Cymbals shop.

I have to say, D-Train's song is one I missed over the years, and looked it up after Prince covered it on the show.

Funny that you mention this...there were rumors in New York back in the 90s that P had sex with James "D-Train" Williams, which i thought was hilarious bullshit....until i saw P performing "Youre The One For Me" on The George Lopez Show" years later...and i found that to be a strange coincidence
