UAB Jemison Visiting Professor Greg Phillinganes shares his experience serving as Music Director for one of the most important musical artists of all times, Michael Jackson. From the recordings of Thriller to Off the Wall, to the mega tours, including the Bad Tour, the History Tour, and the Dangerous Tour, to Michael Jackson's historic Super Bowl Half-Time Show, Greg will give insights into Michael, the man, the music, and his close relationship as his musical director. his work with Stevie Wonder, and also Patti Austin is legendary...Miss Patti speaks so highly of him not only as a musician, but as the quintessential gentleman as well..

Greg Phillinganes also filled in for David Paich in Toto for a bit.

Most recent time I saw him was in 2014, I think he was one of the directors for Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key Of Life tour.

There's videos of him on Youtube trying keyboards out and running through tons of hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's.
