Also alot now are being taken down because of copyright and things like that I would advise people doing any of these or Youtube like podcast things to watch what you use, another guy who had tons of views followers and videos all of a sudden got close to being sued because he every now and then would qoute from news articles in publications but also use the visual shot from his computer of the article I think he had to remove close to a thousand videos he did or be lifetime banned

Some artists have put the reaction videos on their Instagram or Facebook pages. Some have left comments on the videos, like Snow (Informer). Sting was talking about the Twins reacting to The Police on the Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. SNL even did a skit on them. It's generally the labels who take the videos down, not necessarily the artist

yes it is the label the point is that people need to be aware get flagged a few times and they are gone, this guy who was quoting articles almost got sued for showing the magazine articles on a screen, he had to got through every video he made which was close to a Housman or more he had the channel for years doing videos sometimes multiple times a day, he basically was commenting on real things never using music or videos and still he was a step away from not just losing his YouTube with a ban but getting sued.

I don't think that all that many reaction videos get taken down. Some have been up for years, especially ones reacting to movie trailers or reviewing superhero movies. I think certain labels and/or publishing companies take them the music ones down. There's people who upload entire albums and movies on Youtube (not to react to them) that are not taken down, and lots of cell phone concert footage. If you watch the footage many people have their phones in the air doing the same thing. A lot of the movies have never been on home video and are unlikely ever going to be, such as those old NBC/ABC/CBS movies of the week from the 1970s & 1980s. They're not on streaming channels as official uploads either. Same with rare & obscure records and old professional shot footage of performers like a Gap Band concert from 1981 which obviously came from someone's VHS tape. People also uploaded music videos & interviews from Video Soul they taped from TV.

is the a Grammy thread?

loving the format this year. Most pandemic awards and live shows have been terrible this year, but this format they put together for this years Grammy's is really nice and intimate.

depends on the artist the label and also the popularity of the person doing the reaction video, for them they are doing it for the clicks but once they get to a certain level they are also looked at and into more, one girl named endeavor who has a huge following gets warnings all the time, sometimes they allow her only to do lyric videos instead it depends. The person I mentioned has a big following too called the Real Music observer and he mainly does looks at older bands and new music from them etc...but in some cases he goes into their interviews done with magazines and in some instances he uses the magazine up on the screen now he has been doing that for a while because that's done by tons of channels out there, but someone flagged him then another he didn't know at first what they even wanted him to do, he got a warning if it he got one more notice he was banned for good, and also got a litigation letter too. So all I'm saying is be careful and don't be shocked if as your popularity and clicks grow you are being looked at more for that.

As of right now Beyoncé is tied at 3rd place with Alison Krauss with 27 Grammy wins. Only Quincy Jones with 28 and Georg Solti with 31 are ahead of them.

Kinda random that they had Lovely Day by Bill Withers playing over the credits.

Listening to the Grammys aftershow... I liked Harry Styles live rendition of "Watermelon Sugar" and I like some of Billie Eilish's songs...

What a spoiled brat! Lots of great artists who were way more talented than him have never been nominated for a Grammy and they didnt bitch about it. What is this he feels like he's entitled to nominations BS? GTFOH! Maybe Beyonce will give him a couple of her awards in protest. lol [Edited 3/11/21 19:17pm]

Yeah. That. But then again, the fact that Beyonce got so many, makes me wonder why anyone would want to get one. It's kinda pathetic how they shower her with Grammys and really takes away from the credibilty of the award.

She will probably drop a single this year so she can surpass Quincy for most Grammy wins next year.

I need to go and lsiten to his last recording to see if it's even worth all the hullabaloo he's making. You know most of these kids today forget that it's an award coming from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, and think they should be rewarded based on sales/popularity. Seems they get it mixed up with the Billboard Awards lol.

My thoughts exactly. And I've thought this for Some Time.

Many of the people in the 'reaction videos' show a profound lack of basic music history.

They know who Michael Jackson is, that's about it.

exactly did she share those Grammys with the twenty songwriters on every song or dozens of producers? Not saying she is not talented but let's put time into perspective it's like comparing streams to selling albums
