Barry White

In 2010 Wax Poetics published Big Love--on the life, loves and music of Barry White. This story went deep: https://www.waxpoetics.co...e-big-love

wow...great, informative article...Wax Poetics never dissapoints ... even the actual magazine (more like a paperback booklet) is well put together ...sharp images and sturdy and durable pages and covers... i still have WaxP issues from 2007 that look brand new

LMAO...Barry White always had that face-cloth/towel on stage with him...wiping his sweaty eyebrows, face and beard every 4 bars of every song...and he was just standing there...imagine the soaked clothes and puddles of sweat onstage, if he had attempted some dance moves...

I will never forget watching Al Green in concert swipe his brow and flick the sweat across the stage. It was glorious, it flew like a rocket and he didn't skip a beat.

I am sure I was conceived to one of his songs. Probably why my first words were "Oh baby, I just want to lay you down and...." lol

I got plenty good loving for ya baby

I'm more surprised Grand Funk Railroad or Marshall Tucker Band is not in than Barry. It's not a big secret that Jann Wenner is not fond of disco and Barry's music is close enough to it. I think Donna Summer only got in because she had recently passed away the year she was inducted.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Grand funk blue oyster cult and thin lizzy all on one induction show would be the best
