Don't sleep on Ella Fitzgerald. Greatest jazz singer of the 20th century. Sang some of the top songs with the top groups ever. Our pop tastes may not handle her finesse. All you others say Hell Yea!!  | |

You know what freaks me out about Ella? She put her name down for the Amateur Hour at the Apollo as a dancer. The half time dancing show by the Edwards Sisters was so amazing that she knew there was no way she could follow that dancing. So she sung a song instead. She won the contest and then started singing for Chick Webb because of it. Just think if she had danced instead - might have never heard one of the greatest voices of the last 100 years.
