Stevie has been known to use songs originally written years before on later albums. There's a song on Characters from 1987 called Cryin' Through The Night. It was originally recorded in the early 1970s, but that version is still unreleased. The one on Characters is a newly recorded version at the time. On Hotter Than July there's All I Do, which Stevie wrote for Tammi Terrell in the 1960s. Jungle Fever has some earlier material. One is a song written about Marvin Gaye in the mid-1980s.There's another song used in the movie, it's not on the soundtrack, but has been released as a B-side to one of the singles. It's the original recording, but with some new overdubs

You have to remember that back then George couldn't come out as gay when Wham first started. He didn't even know for sure that he was Gay, he was seen with women and dated women. When he finally figured it out, his 1 true love, Anselmo Feleppa, they had to keep it a secret, he didn't even tell his family, then HIV/AIDS hit, and was taboo back in the day. Anselmo died from an AIDS related illiness, George knew he was very sick, but he couldn't do anything to help him. In a documentary that I watched, (Freedom) George was back at his family's house for a holiday, and Anselmo was dying, and George couldn't even tell his family, he had to act like everything is ok. His death sent George into a deep depression.

Then the entire 'restroom' ordeal, really put the spotlight on him.

So yeah, I think no matter how famous he was or how rich he was, he had lot's of problems And they were serious!

You got that right. In the 1980s, if you simply said the words "I'm gay.", people would just laugh as hard as they could as if they had heard the funniest thing ever. You didn't have to say or do anything funny and you wouldn't even have to be feminine or out of the ordinary looking whatsoever. Just the fact that you were gay, or could even possibly be gay, would have people just laughing as if they had just heard the funniest joke ever. And the hatred that went along with it too not just from strangers but from complete families disowning people. I didn't come out myself until 1990 when I was 22 and by coming out, I mean no longer being in denial in my own mind, accepting what I am, and acting upon what I wanted. As for everyone else, I went the Prince route. I did as I pleased, flaunted it, but neither confirmed nor denied it, and just let people think what they wanted to think. I don't blame George though. Those assholes would have stopped buying his records back in the 1980s if he had confirmed he was gay and his label would have dropped him. Although somebody had to really be living under a rock in those days to not know he was gay, especially after seeing that "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" video. Honey, he was almost of fish as Prince on the "American Bandstand" performance. Oh my God, he really was an incredibly handsome and gorgeous man when he butched up in the "Faith" era. Lorrrrrd, done got me panting like Scooby Doo up in there.

I don't think there's many fans of anybody here. A lot of the people who would post in this section stopped years ago. There's nothing much else to say about oldies acts that isn't already in a bunch of old threads. I'd guess there's probably hundreds of threads about different members of the Jackson family. If someone makes a thread about current popular music the same old folks put it down. Or they don't know about it.
