Just curious, in terms of assessing her overall mertits as a dancer, not just choreographed dancer.

That's true! A back flip doesn't make someone a dancer. Does that mean every gymnast a dancer by default? Of course not. Britney isn't some overly accomplished dancer. She phones in most of her moves. Look at any of the Vegas residency stuff. She's practically not even there.

And the implication is that they're just "dancers" not "choreographed dancers." It's a distinction without a difference. The artist is doing the same moves the trained dancers behind them are doing.

I also don't know the "videos can be edited." How is "Nasty" or "Pleasure Principle" an example of editing and what does that have to do with their ability to dance?

The whole setup of "if they can't backflip, they aren't a dancer," is ridiculous and obtuse.
