Yup...I'd like to see it again. I haven't seen it in years. There used to be a cool "T.G.I.F" website devoted to the film (facts/trivia/where are they now?/etc)...They said "The Zoo" was torn down and now a furniture store resides in that spot.....(!)

The greatest female artist ever. She was definitely the lady of the 70s and 80s. Is a shame she was pretty much after Another Time and Place.

I think part of the problem was....Donna liked to do many styles of music and she didn’t want to be placed in a box. This,of course, prevented many radio stations from playing sone of her singles. Her 1991 single “When Love Cries” is one of the finest songs she’s ever done but it was completely ignored.”When people don’t know where to put you, sometimes they simply put you out”,she said.

When Love Cries and Heaven's Just A Whisper away are the only good tracks from that awful album Mistaken Identity in my opinion.

The problem is that she didn't have a record label after 1991ish era I believe and throughout the 90, 00s and 10s she was just releasing dance singles. If you read her old interviews dating back as early as 1994 she always told them that she is working on a new album and she kept saying this until she unfortunately passed away but no materials at all with the exception of Mistaken Identity and Crayons.

Which is why her career was... Pretty much irrelevant after Another Time and Place. It robbed a whole new generation of fans sadly. I wish she made new albums because as much as I love listening to her old work throughout the 70s-80s... It gets boring 🤣. When you read and find out that certain albums were up for a release like this album called Angel or Ordinary Broadway Girl but it was all changed and never released... Kinda depressing if you ask me lol. I wouldn't be surprised if the millennial generation discovered her after she died. But is a shame man. But it is what it is I suppose.

She was just a touring artist at that point to be honest sad

She was def the Queen of Disco in the 70s. But for me her best albums were 1982's "Donna Summer" and 1991's "Mistaken Identity". Her voice was more the focal point on both albums. My favorite song, "Let There Be Peace" comes from the latter album.

I find it very very hard to listen to her post heyday work sometimes lol. I should give Mistaken Identity another try. I think Crayons is good.

I didnt like "Crayons" at all. I dont remember much about it. I just know I didnt like any of the songs. Donna deserved better.

Yeah... Both albums are questionable. Some like it, some think it sucks

It felt like she was trying to keep up with other artists, but it still sounded youthful to me

Same here. Even though Summer was irrelevant then musically at least she wasn't doing some desperate trend chasing garbage... Remember My Name Is Prince? 🤣🤣

I keep hoping that the unreleased ‘Angel’ album is finally taken out of the vaults and released. She was working on it in 1999/2000.She was working with the producers who produced Cher’s massive hit single “Believe”.

I heard it was suppose to be out in 2000. Man If Donna Summer couldn't dominate the 90s, the 00s could have been her other dominance period in my opinion. Could have revived her career to the millennial generation.
