That's not the point. The point is that people are constantly talking about how attractive or unattractive women are in a way they don't about men. The double standard is alive and well.

well maybe women should talk more about how attractive men are.... there are no stansards or double-standards when it comes to complimenting someone's beauty, male or female...the ONLY people with a problem about a compliment given to someone else's beauty, are jealous unattractive people... How does complimenting someones beauty, have ANY kind of adverse effect on someone else?...and for the record, women are ALWAYS taliking about who's cute/handsome, or who's got money or doesnt, or who's packing and who aint.... there is no "doublestandard". just a bunch of jealous and insecure people, who cant stand it when someone else gets attention that they dont.

Has there ever been a woman prettier than Madonna?

Too many to list but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

"All women are beautiful"??... thats a blatant lie... it looks and sounds good in principle.. but its a total lie, nonetheless

A blatant lie ?

That sound pretty irrelevant.

Yes people are different, look different. Beauty is both within and obviously the visual.

And by the way, women in general are always the first object of insult when it comes to looks.

I have read somewhere that there are far more reproaches and ugly name calling for women in almost all languages and cultures. From both men and women, but mostly from men.

My humble opinion is that someone's looks should never be a competition.

The 'she/he-is-more-beautiful-than' situation is predictable and often coming from jealousy or whatever disliking, like driven frustrations or lack of emotional intelligence, and thus far from nuanced or true.

Beauty comparissing often leads to the obvious pigeonhole thinking, and I never liked that.

Gladly my parents raised us to never ever make remarks about someones looks.

They made it very clear to us that this was very inappropriate, and especially unnecessary.

-

And, yes Madonna is a beautiful woman.

The fact that people have their looks 'done', like she did, is something I don't want to have an opinion about (or Michael Jackson for that matter).

It's a complete other matter.

Well I like her recent music, but she’s definitely used fillers or Botox or something cause her face looks too smooth and her eye shape looks different. Just saying

I have wondered if all the stuff with Madonna's (alleged) "new" face came to be when her doctor committed suicide (allegedly) after being parodied on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (allegedly). She may have been on some sort of surgical trajectory for a final product that ended up unfinished.

Lol....I mean.....Madonna was pretty alright.....but I think she's definitely not the prettiest and while I don't like to rate women's looks, I'd have to say that Whitney Housten was prettier, Vanity DEFINITELY. Shakira.....Nelly Furtado. Eva Mendez, Selma Hayek, Sofia Vergara. Pretty much every woman Prince ever dated. But they're also all my type. I think it all comes down to preference....Many people would probably agree with you that madonna is the prettiest woman who ever existed and many don't. lol
