The Wknd To Headline Super Bowl this "year" What do you guys think about this? I don't know his catalogue a part from the I Can't Feel My Face and The Hills joints so I can't say if he has the current "uptempo hits" or mega star/icon status that I think this gig is supposed to represent. i am intrigued i admit, but they'll probably add some "support" to this ticket, what do y'all think?

Excited for him and hope the performance goes well. I wonder if he’ll do just newer songs or a medley of songs from different eras

I think he's more than capable of handling the show without support. If he better songs beyond "I Can't Feel My Face." The song he opened the MTV VMAs with was incredible. His aural aesthetic is a great 80s throwback in a lot of ways, but very modernized. His stock is about to go way up. Good on him. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

He's really emo AFAIK. I wasn't a fan of his early work. But I do want him to succeed, even if I don't really listen to him. He's an artist with some talent and pop music needs to have talented artists out front right now. [Edited 11/13/20 7:48am] Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Is he dynamic enough? I guess they will only have 13,000 fans instead of 60,000...that may help.

You're just old, take a seat grandpa. its not that...im a fan of alot of the new music... especially all the female strip hop artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, Cardi B, Doja Cat etc...and young knuckleheads like Dababy, Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Jaden Smith, Drake, Future, Young Thug, J. Cole etc.. i just think TheWeeknd is trash... and i hear quite enough of it because my son is always asking me to play his shit when he's in the ride with me... when im feeling selfless, ill give in and suffer through some blinding lights and snowchilds and hardest to love.. its funny how i hate his music the same way my father hated Earth Wind & & Fire and Elton John...the circle of life is funny that way

I think the halftime show should just go back with Up With People. They still exist. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

i want to see if dude can up the ante so to speak. i have heard that he's way emo, but it'll be interesting to see if he surprises

I'm not a fan nor do I think he's much of a performer but he's a better choice than some we've gotten the past few years. [Edited 11/15/20 9:50am]

I don’t think he has anything new out but I heard that he relies too much on the audience to sing his songs and things like that. Didn’t see that when I saw him perform years ago, but wouldn’t care to see him after hearing that

I think Up With People has more appearances at the Superbowl than any other act. So they must have had a lot of appeal to audiences back then.
