The album "Kick" had a lot of hits.

There was a thread recently about the remastered Wembly show called "Live Baby Live" - also a must see!

Got the greatest hits this pass weekend. Waiting on a good deal for the new 4K restored 80s show, which I saw back in the day.

the Need U Tonight / Mediate 2-fer is easily in my top 5 of seamless song transitions! those are some funky Aussies! Listen Like Thieves (the song), and New Sensation are obvious choices too!

Ahh, the MTV era of "funky white boys"...at some point there, I ended up with a classmate's copy of Listen Like Thieves (long story, but our cassette tapes got mixed up) and that blew me away. Didn't even know they were from Australia until Kick blew up...

They are in my top 10 of all artists that I listen to.

I really love the string of albums Listen Like Thieves, Kick, X and Welcome To Wherever You Are. My interest in the new material faded a bit after that.

Listen Like Thieves/Kick to me are an awesome one-two punch similar to Off The Wall/Thriller and 1999/Purple Rain. Obviously they are not as big as MJ or Prince, but they had a lot of great hits.

I watched the reality show that searched for a new lead singer too, but I never had that album.

I bought the kick cd today while at a record store on a road trip. Will listen to it soon and post my thoughts. I thought of this thread when seeing the cd!

I remember your thread about the BluRay restoration. The work done on the disc is amazing.

INXS was such a great band in the day. I forget the first song I heard from them, but it was likely something on MTV or the radio. I think people loved Hutchence at the time, but never quite appreciated his charisma, sexiness, and unapologetic talent until he was gone. (Isn't that how it always works out?)

Their musicianship, songwriting and production was always top notch. I remember having a few movements under the belt while watching "Guns In The Sky." They oozed sex and "I don't give a fuck" in that video. And to think it was shot in a damn hallway!

I believe Hutchence was one of the greatest losses to music since Freddie Mercury.

I watched MTV and VH1 with my friends(who had Cable TV)in the 1980s and 1990s.

Who remembers the song: "I Touch Myself"? I always liked listening to that
song and watching the video too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

"never tear us apart" is an inspired masterpiece. Evergreen.

A great many others fit in there as well. They had a great energy and unique sound.

One of my fave bands. Listen Like Thieves is my fave, but also love Shabooh Shooba. Kick is awesome but I burned it out on it a bit back in the day...still love it but don't play it as often. The later stuff is good too.

We're gonna need a bigger boat
