Singer /Songwriter/Musician Andy Platts is known for two groups, the UK band Mama's Gun (yes, named after the Erykah Badu album), and for his US/UK duo collaboration with Shawn Lee, as Young Gun, Silver Fox. In both groups, there is an emphasis on classic songwriting that evokes and pays homage the best of 60's, 70's and early 80's Pop/Rock, Soul and West Coast groups. He has also worked with Michael McDonald, and John Oates,as well as writing, producing and collaborating with Asian artists like John Park, Yamashita Tomohisa, and Park Hyo Shin. ...

I really like the song "Kids" and have listened to two YGSF albums since getting to know that song about half a year ago. Kids is a fantastic song that even my 8 year old son enjoys. The albums are good too. If you are into Classic Pop, Soul & West Coast music and like artist such as Kenny Loggings and Michael McDonald then you should definately check them out.
