JB- Live in Paris '68

Just felt like sharing as this came up in my YouTube earlier this week. Incredible performance with lots to talk about but I've never seen/heard "Papa's Got A Brand..." go so hard.

Recently saw this footage for the first time and was blown away at the production of the show and how jazzy the band sounded. James was such a masterful showman and performer and it was 1968.

This show is in contrast to the Love, Power, Peace: Live at the Olympia also in Paris from 1971. This show has a lot less polish featuring the very young Bootsy Collins and his brother Catfish. I think this is my favorite of his live performances just because of the energy of the whole show.
