It's a good snapshot of tastes in the general pop world of 2020, including some serious anomalies that would only appear in this year and no other.

My only major complaint would be how US-centric it is, but Rolling Stone is a US magazine so it makes sense.

I agree with you, Matty, but jaawwnn beat me to it.

Rolling Stone is now having to cater to 5, maybe 6, generations of musical tastes. This means that room is going to have to be made for current popular albums that prior generations don't value or even respect.

I can only imagine the reaction of Boomers when they saw, for example, several Prince albums rated in the prior lists. So I can't complain when newer artists whom I don't really value (or even know) make these lists.

Britney spears' blackout is ranked higher than David Bowie's scary monsters ???
