I started buying Prince albums and cassettes when I was a teenager. I still have the:
"Purple Rain" -album and cassette, "For You" - album and cassette, "Dirty Mind" -cassette, "Controversy" - album and cassette, "Parade" - cassette, "Around the World in a day" - cassette, "Diamonds and Pearls" - cassette, "1999" - cassette, "Sign o'The Times" - cassette, "Graffiti Bridge" - cassette, "Symbol" - cassette, "The Beautiful Experience" - cassette. My mother(Libra) had a big album collection when she lived in Brooklyn in the 1970's and 1980's. If she did not have to move several times, I could of had her record collection too! My father(Pisces)had 8 track songs for his car too. Who remembers 8 tracks? [Edited 10/8/20 8:51am]

I have to ask two of my friends from the late 1980's(Stephanie and Margo) if they still have their "Purple Rain" albums, VHS "Purple Rain" Movie video, "Purple Rain" Tour video?
Their parenets bought many movies, concert videos, music videos, etc. I was at their houses frequently and we watched a lot of movies/concerts on VHS. Their parents also had a record/album collection from the 80's, 70's. I was 10 in(1986) when I first watched "Purple Rain" on VHS at my friend's house. They also had videos from Madonna, Sade and more. Great memories, I miss the 80's! [Edited 10/8/20 14:13pm]

I never understood the point of downloads or buying a digital track. It's like paying for something that doesn't exist. If I tape songs off the radio I have a cassette of it. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
