His music reminds me of Prince I discovered a young artist on YouTube months ago, his music reminds me of Prince when I first heard of it. So I started to notice him. Diamond Cafe is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He has released two mid-length EPs. All music and lyrics from the EPs are written by himself, and all songs are recorded in his bedroom. His music is heavy on 80s synth pop and R&B and some Prince vibes with buttery falsetto. If you guys haven't heard of Diamond Cafe yet? Just check him out below.In2 You - https://www.youtube.com/w...39cR4tINiUIts Been A Mess Without You - https://www.youtube.com/w...EUp_l1-ViwMagic - https://www.youtube.com/w...CG1TrhNs8UHold On... - https://www.youtube.com/w...Vb4CONHvNs

it doesnt "remind" me of Prince. He's blatantly trying to copy and mimic Prince. And it all sounds horrible. These songs and videos are trash, covered by a gravy of dumpster juice..
Lil Sweet in the Dr. Pepper commercials has better material

Thanks for the tip. Just gave his self titled EP a spin, it was a good listen! Yes its obvously an homage to Prince and a few other 80's musical touchstones but I certainly wish I had the talent to put something like this together in my bedroom! (or anywhere actually!)

You might want to check out Starchild & The New Romantic, its in a similar realm but he has a bit more of his own voice I think.

I just listened to it for a couple seconds, and yes, it's defintely a copy of Prince and his sound, but I think we all know that while many admire him and may try to duplicate him, there is only one, and there will never be another, because Prince was definitely one of a kind.

pure horseshit! With the plethora of Prince music in the world, whyt would anyone ever need to demote even a few seconds to that dude?

He looks a lot like Simon LeBon (Duran Duran singer) circa 1986.

Not sure why anyone would want to do this?

Thank you for reading my words and taking time to listen to it. I think it’s quite hard to be an artist or singer without record label’s support, so I respect all those independent artists. I hope people would listen to their artwork with an open mind, not with bad grace. You are a kind person. I have listened to Starchild & The New Romantic’s album – Language. Yes, it’s in a similar realm with electro, 70s – 80s funky, and R&B vibes. Appreciate for sharing with me.

Yeah, why not? Prince was one of the greatest musicians of all time, I'd like to see more artists to cite Prince as an influence on their music career.

Well, some people are just not creative enough to find their own sound
