Mariah Carey interview in New York magazine

Long interview here. Anyone planning to buy her memoir? I'm not really a fan of hers so I don't plan on it but I assume all the lambs will. I wonder how well it will sell.

The Meaning of Mariah Carey isn't too weird. Not for Mariah, the same woman who has named albums Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse. (PS While checking those titles, I didn't even realize she released an album in 2018, Caution.) As the article stated, she does always seem to be explaining herself for some reason. I may read it. I like biographies and memoirs from interesting people. Mariah is, if anything, interesting. Her music is boring as a stale graham cracker, but she never fails to make a headline by just walking into a room (albeit with 200 people in her entourage on a diamond encrusted red carpet surrounded by bottles of Cristol).

But I have a long list of shit I plan to read before that.

If the book were called You Don't Know Her, that'd be excellent.

I will probably get around to the book eventually but I'm most looking forward to the Rarities CD she is releasing in October that will feature previously unreleased material and B-sides.

For me the best was in the early 90s when Whitney was asked what she thought of Mariah and she replied "I don't think of her." The expression on her face was priceless. You could tell she was annoyed by the question.

If that album was as successful as Emancipation of Mimi, that might have been the exact title!

Ghastly book title. Ghastly magazine cover.

I wonder if she will be like Madonna with her tits all the way out into her 70s.

an

I'm convinced she is way way WAY smarter than people give her credit for. She lives her life exactly how she wants. Her public persona is light and silly and fun and Christmas. And she still looks great btw. Long may she reign!

It wasnt shade but they were wanting some gossip and Whit st was not giving it to them. She like...why u asking me about somebody I dont even know lol. Apparently Whitney was able to listen to Vision of Love before it even came out on the radio and said it was going to be a big hit.

She should have said that, something supportive. Anyways, their collab squashed all of that.

Yet another clueless celebrity that doesn't know anything about what the Black Lives Matter thing is all about. No clue about its real goals nor who is funding it. Just the feeling she is doing right. Hah. No need to concern yourself, princess. There's always another useful tool in the toolshed.
