Next posthumous George Michael release? What would you like to see as the next George Michael release? I hope we get something this year. I'm feeling a bit fammy™

An album of original songs from his vault would be great and releasing singles from it. Maybe even a remix like Whitney’s higher love would work

Unfortunately there's nothing on the horizon. Maybe a single release at some point but I doubt we'll get anything substantial. Apparently he had three album's worth of unreleased material at the time of his death and was working on a new project too. I'd like to think we'll hear some of it at some point but I'm not holding my breath. In terms of what I'd like to see released, Trojan Souls would be a dream come true.

Are you saying there’s nothing on the horizon as an insider or are you guessing? I think Trojan souls is the last thing I would like to be released since it’s already leaked unless we haven’t heard anything. I hope a full maybe it’s not your time exists. David Austin mentioned full soundboard Cover to cover shows and a dvd for the freedom documentary which would include some behind the scenes of recording of the patience album that was only shown at the cinema screenings. It's more of a guess to be honest. But a guess based on something I heard about a year ago saying there was no plans to release anything. A lot can change in a year but if I keep my expectations low then I can't be disappointed. I'm not interested in live show releases and as much as I'd love to hear some unreleased material from what would have been his new album I'd be worried that it would be full of that vocoder voice effect he was using a lot in later years. So I'd play it safe and go for a fully completed Trojan Souls album. Although I'd take anything at this point.

I feel like GM's estate has shrink wrapped his legacy and is just preserving it with no other intentions. Yes, there was the Listen Without Prejudice set that came out, which was nice, sorta confusing since it had songs from Older in the Unplugged stuff. But a nice set. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

he was a much better singer and performer than i gave him credit for while he was alive....i always overlooked him as bubblegum pop, but since he passed and ive revisited his music somewhat, the man was more talented than i originally thought

The Faith tour in MSG in NY and his solo show in 2008 in MN(Was in the area working) were two great shows. I was hoping Prince would show up, but I guess he was on tour. I did stop by Prince studio/home and it was under construction at the time in 2008. Anyway I’d like to see some Wham and all his tours on Blu-ray/4K. Well see. There is stuff on YouTube, but quality is fair. The latest 90s remastered concert Inxs released this year looks fantastic and can be done to GM stuff. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Even the Wham! archives are super interesting: thinking of that completed version of Blue he did on the Russell Harty show, the outtakes from their debut, the Executive demo tape, the Foreign Skies documentary... and who knows what else. I understand he wasn't interested in revisiting his past himself but there's a wealth of stuff out there that wouldn't have any problem selling.

Unfortunately theres only two Wham outtakes from the wham era according to Andrew ridgedley and they are Golden Soul and Soul boy and they've both leaked. Agree with the rest though I'm feeling a bit fammy™

was "white light" supposed to be part of an album or was it always intended to be a one off single? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

George Michael was one of the greats! His voice is incredible and his lyrics are very profound and I believe quite personal too. My husband and I have watched his live concert dvd at least 25 times and never get tired of it. What a show! We also listen to his music regularly and are still amazed at how talented he was. Such a loss. I hope we get a new album and live footage sometime in the future.

I really hope that someday his Estate opens the floodgates, there has to be some unreleased stuff in his vault. That was always the thing I found maddening about George, he was a one in a million talent, I just wish he’d found a way to channel it into more albums...there’s only Faith, LWP, Older and Patience...and Songs from the last Century, but that was it, right? To be fair, when he did release something, it was always quality from start to finish.

This thread made me go back and watch Live in London bluray. Since the lst time I watched it, we'd gotten a 4K 3D TV. And while the bluray isn't 4K, the upscaling on the newer TV is amazeballs. I've watched this bluray a hundred times, and I sat here amazed at it all over again. It's so fucking clear, and even our newer soundbar was putting out a mix I'd never really heard before. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

That would be criminal if they don't present his unreleased material. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
