Faith had an expanded remaster a while back but it's hardly anywhere to be found. That could easily be repressed and put back out for sale. He didn't have that many albums, so the effort of working on them, adding to it with B-sides, remixes, and vault stuff can't be that difficult. Doesn't mean each set is going to be some 10-disk sprawling set or something. But there has to be material to group together into something special.

I know GM said that the London show would be the only full live concert he ever released (and I've no idea why), but I would think that a video of the Faith Tour, and any other tour would be fesible and desirable in a larger deluxe set.

The GM estate could take a nod from Prince's estate. Sure, Prince had exponentially more material, but the the way some of this stuff is being packaged is beautiful. (1999, SOTT, PAAM) Listen was nicely put together, so work off that synergy and get something out.

And yes, those Trojan sessions, even if incomplete are a gem. But surely someone can help finish them. Wendy was there, others were there, people saw GM's vision at the time. If Natalie Cole can use her daddy's voice to make a new record, or The Beatles can go back and finish a song without John Lennon, I would think the GM estate can certainly sit down and map out how to get those Trojan sessions completed.

he was a much better singer and performer than i gave him credit for while he was alive....i always overlooked him as bubblegum pop, but since he passed and ive revisited his music somewhat, the man was more talented than i originally thought

In fairness, if your main experience with his music was Wham, then you'd be forgiven for overlooking him as bubblegum pop.

nah, i mean ive heard more tham Wham!....i kinda liked the joint with him & Aretha and the Christmas song too...but i was never really checking for Wham or his solo stuff...and didnt he work with Jimmy & Terry on something once ?...was it the album with "Faith"?

Even the Wham! archives are super interesting: thinking of that completed version of Blue he did on the Russell Harty show, the outtakes from their debut, the Executive demo tape, the Foreign Skies documentary... and who knows what else. I understand he wasn't interested in revisiting his past himself but there's a wealth of stuff out there that wouldn't have any problem selling.

Unfortunately theres only two Wham outtakes from the wham era according to Andrew ridgedley and they are Golden Soul and Soul boy and they've both leaked. Agree with the rest though

was "white light" supposed to be part of an album or was it always intended to be a one off single?

George Michael was one of the greats! His voice is incredible and his lyrics are very profound and I believe quite personal too. My husband and I have watched his live concert dvd at least 25 times and never get tired of it. What a show! We also listen to his music regularly and are still amazed at how talented he was. Such a loss. I hope we get a new album and live footage sometime in the future.

This thread made me go back and watch Live in London bluray. Since the lst time I watched it, we'd gotten a 4K 3D TV. And while the bluray isn't 4K, the upscaling on the newer TV is amazeballs. I've watched this bluray a hundred times, and I sat here amazed at it all over again. It's so fucking clear, and even our newer soundbar was putting out a mix I'd never really heard before.

That would be criminal if they don't present his unreleased material.
