With the exception of the clothes, doesn't the album cover remind you of janet's ALL FOR YOU album cover??? I know this sounds awful but I really hope this kelly thing is a Leif garrett phase or something...i cringe when i hear "A moment like this" --maybe she'll be on where are they now on vh-1 inlike 10 years...

It is so hard to break into the music industry. I think she was just supremely 'pimped.'

Without making a comment on her songs, voice etc. I hope she can make some money and pimp them right back. I hate that she was sooo overexposed. It's not her fault.

Sometimes the winner doesn't really WIN. Second, third or so on doesn't get the hype and usually has a better chance (Tamyra). She was not pimped as hard as Kelly was.

Also, I hope Ruben doesn't win this year's contest because he will be JUST fine without the title or the win, much like Tamyra last year. He doesn't need the victory to break into the business now (since he seems to be universally praised and heralded), but I think someone like Clay (my fav since I saw him in the selecton shows) or Kimberly Locke (damn she's hot!) should get it. Now, they could use it, AND they got the talent to back it up! Whatever happened to Justin, outside of the I'm-sure-God-awful movie coming out soon?

"a moment like this" actually gets me all emotional. i have no idea why. i wish i could stop it from happening.

it's "one moment in time" all over again, so maybe that's why, but i wish it didn't happen.

I'd hate to sound cynical but Josh is going to win and you all know why. Maybe it isn't a bad thing that a marine wins for being a marine but he isn't even the 10th best singer there. I don't watch the show often (I actually, I watch the first segment and then leave) but I do get to hear snippets of all the preformances on radio and one time when Josh was awful (I think it wsa disco) he wasn't even in the bottom 3. I mean, come on! If that happens, the show will be seen as an embrassment but people seriously think he won't win but I think they are fooling themsleves.

I don't think Josh will win, even if he is a marine. The last two will be Ruben and Clay, the runners will be Kimberley Locke and Trenyce (unless she fucks things up next week). Carmen will be out next week, I think. I was very surprised she beat Kimberley C last Wednesday.

Did anyone see her on GMA Thursday (?) morning? Ugh!!! She really needs to work on her performance skills. I do dig her voice, but she looked nervous and barely moved (and one of the tunes was an uptempo number). I'm hoping she'll get better!

kelly sounds like a more wholesome imaged christina...oversings like a mofo...just because...i LOVE her new hairstyle though...killler and so pretty
