I heard "Machine Gun" AFTER hearing the Dust Brothers loop it for "Hey Ladies" so that's what I always think of. shrug

Gotta love the, um, vocals on the Chakachas joint lol

I never ever saw that movie... I own these songs elsewhere, so I didn't need the soundtrack.

...went to AMG for the tracklist for the soundtrack to this movie and found that there are actually 2 volumes, and I had only ever seen the volume 1. chiggity check:

Vol. 1-
1. Intro (Feel the Heat)
2. Best of My Love / Emotions
3. Jungle Fever / Chakachas
4. Brand New Key / Melanie
5. Spill the Wine / War & Eric Burdon
6. Got to Give It Up, Pt. 1 / Marvin Gaye
7. Machine Gun / Commodores
8. Magnet and Steel / Walter Egan
9. Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now / McFadden & Whitehead
10. Sister Christian / Night Ranger
11. Livin' Thing / Electric Light Orchestra
12. God Only Knows / Beach Boys
13. The Big Top / Michael Penn & Patrick Warren

Vol. 2-
1. Mama Told Me (Not to Come) / Three Dog Night
2. Fooled Around and Fell in Love / Elvin Bishop
3. You Sexy Thing / Hot Chocolate
4. Boogie Shoes / KC & The Sunshine Band
5. Do Your Thing / Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Band
6. Driver's Seat / Sniff 'N' The Tears
7. Feel Too Good / by Move
8. Jessie's Girl / Rick Springfield
9. J.P. Walk / Sound Experience
10. I Want to Be Free / Ohio Players
11. Joy / Apollo One Hundred

I can't figure out what era this movie is set in if it spans nearly a decade of music??

You GOTTA see this movie! It's my favorite film from the last ten years or so.The way the music is used in this film,it's just incredible! Btw,those two soundtracks don't include every song. For example,"Lonely Boy" by Bob Welch is missing.

You won't be dissapointed smile

The DVD includes a second disc with 10 deleted scenes, director's commentary and so much more.I'm gonna watch it again this Friday night (don't ask me why,but I think this is the perfect Friday night movie...lol...).

OK I just finished watching Boogie Nights. Wow! woot! That was such a great show, and the second-last half-hour of it had me miserable!! I was so effective, DavidEye, like you said, the way the songs were used. You could almost name the scenes/sequences after the songs they employed.

That was awesome!! I didn't think I knew some of the titles on Volume 2 of the soundtrack, but now I know which songs they are.

Hey, maybe this is a thread all on its own but I sort of thought Dirk's cock looked kinda thin for a porn dick, am I right?? cop Calling out the prosthetic prop crew on that one lol
