your SHaZam finds...

or other music listening/finding app

.

I find I'm able to appreciate certain songs, that I hear lightly when in a store. Artists I might not have been introduced to otherwise. I pull out my phone and the Shazam app and catch the song/artist. I'm pulled my melody and that tends to stand out and catch my attention in stores.

Here is a list of my most recent over the last few weeks/months.
Some are songs I knew and forgot from the 70s or 80s, others more recent.

LOL who uses Shazam anymore?? I didn't really know they were still a thing. Once Apple bought it, I uninstalled it because it became intrigated into Siri (although it may have been already to some extent). My Alexas have the same technology, too. I assume there's something on Android that does the same.

I do use it a lot, though. Because there's always a song I don't recognize or missed over the years and want to know.

"Minute by Minute" is a subtle bop!

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

LOL who uses Siri?

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

As I said 'or other music listening/finding app'

I just understood what SMH means this year

I did not post this for a critique of my list Trivial

.

if you have any kind of playlist from a listening source post it.
That's the only type of interaction I was looking for.

I use Siri and Alexa all the time. The latter more than the former.

I just thought it was disappeared once Apple purchased it a few years ago. I was surprised it was still around in that way, despite the TV show.

And you're likely around my age unless you haven't updated your profile in a minute. I'm far from crotchety. But these MFing kids better stay the F off my lawn. mad

Well obviously it didn't...

I've known rivers:
I've known rivers ancient as the world and older than the
flow of human blood in human veins.

My soul has grown deep like the rivers.

I bathed in the Euphrates when dawns were young.
I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep.
I looked upon the Nile and raised the pyramids above it.
I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln
went down to New Orleans, and I've seen its muddy
bosom turn all golden in the sunset.

I've known rivers:
Ancient, dusky rivers.

My soul has grown deep like the rivers.

For anyone who uses Spotify. There's almost 9,000 songs on it. i made it for my aunt. I'm sure you all have heard most of the songs on it, but i guess it's cool to have them on one playlist. That Spotify web player is garbage though, it only shows a couple hundred of the songs. Use the Spotify app instead. I'll add more stuff later.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

So do you use it solely to identify music, or does it work as a music player app for songs on your device as well?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I just use it to identify music

I think it can play music, but I have enough toys for that

I'll check later

Doesn't matter, really. I was just curious in what capacity you used it.

Wait so if you're in public, do you have to ask outloud "Alexa, what song is this?"?

I still use Shazam, I'm 40, but also prefer to just pushing buttons? I don't want to talk.

One time when we had movie theaters, the Marlo Thomas / St Judes commercial came on, so I asked my phone "How old is Marlow Thomas?", and it hollared back "MARLO THOMAS IS 81 YEARS OLD!", and I thought I would die of embarassement.
