Am I the only one in the entire world who thinks Madonna has a beautiful voice?

I just don't understand the criticism she gets for her singing and I never will. confuse

I know I'm in the minority, but I get more emotion, power and artistry from her than just about any other female musician. Call me crazy. I don't care.

Is there anyone else on this planet that's in agreement with me?

Her voice would be better if she would stop using the damn vocoder.

Madonna's voice is great, and she is singing with so much passion and emotion these days.Listen to her recent ballads and slower songs and you will see what I mean .I was listening to the new CD today and the song "X-Static Process" just MOVED me all of a sudden.I found myself really *feeling* what she was saying. Her words and her vocals just touched me,and it was an incredible feeling!

Many times! And when she launched into "Like A Prayer" with that choir, man,it just moved me like you wouldn't believe.

I'm feelin' both you guys right now. I've never thought her voice was fantastic or incredible, but it is what it needs to be.

She sings her songs with exactly what's needed in them. "Take A Bow" for example, is excellently produced with vocals that blow any performer into the water...

The same could be said for "Ray Of Light"...or the entire "Evita" soundtrack.

People need to accept her for what she is. She is Madonna... 'nuff said.

Same here. And "Nothing Fails" is slowly becoming a favorite Madonna song. Having it back to back with "Like A Prayer" really solidified my feeling about it.

Even as far back as "True Blue" you could hear the huge growth in her voice. Many performers always sound the same. But she keeps growing and growing vocally. Just take these 5 songs and tell me she doesn't work her ass off:

Papa Don't Preach - Like A Prayer - I'll Remember - I Want You - Ray Of Light

She has to try so hard to hold a note. While I like her voice, I wouldn't dare call it great. She gets by, which is part of the reason it's so amazing she's had the impact she has for this long. I gotta give it up to her, she worked the shit outta her career nod

Well, of all things Madonna is, the quality of her singing voice is not high up there in her list of gifts/traits/whatever. That said, I love Madonna anyway. Even though she can't sing live.

Her voice was never her strongest traits.Personally I always like the whole package she presents: her music, videos, self confidence, and her ability to constantly reinvent herself. A true artist.

Madonna's voice has improved a helluva lot.I first noticed a vast improvement back on Like a Prayer. She had good songs prior to that but her voice was only OK back in the day.

Her voice is WAY BETTER than a lot of the pop singers out here today. I can listen, and like her voice, unlike with the others, like Britney Spears, J.Lo, and Ashanti. She also sounds way better than Janet Jackson.

madonna's voice has improved but i still don't think it is all that great. It doesn't take a great voice to be a pop icon though...just great marketing and a loud voice! She is known for her pop/dance songs more than her voice. It is hit or miss with her voice, i think. Sometimes she sounds really good (mtv live the other night) and other times she sounds really bad (mtv awards ashtangi/ray of light is a prime example)...just my opinion, though.

Homeboy, you are DEFINITELY in the minority. That woman is strictly a video and studio artist... Extremely average voice but I will alway say this about Madonna. I respect what she has accomplished. A brilliant woman...
