I'm sure it will be a good movie and JHud will get lots of award nominations. But I can't get excited about it because I'm not a JHud fan. She doesn't sing she yells. When she sings Purple Rain I just cringe. Paisley Park is in your heart

N maybe sum props 4 Marlon 2? I've always appreciated him as an actor, comedic n otherwise. Agree she do be yelling tho. Speaking of Purple Rain, I don't mind the title n all but the trailer could've had at least 1 of her other classic songs up there, sayin  n same 2 above above post.

Why do I get the feeling this movie is less about Aretha and more about JHud? Aretha was famous for her voice. Isn't that the voice we want to hear? Paisley Park is in your heart

Yelling to me is a loud noise that hurts my ears to hear, and nothing about that is "pretty" to me.

Jennifer has the latter, I'll agree she can go loud, but it doesn't sounds strained and it remains melodic. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

^^That's true @onlyforaminute, Jennifer does have a natural powerful projection voice, nothing forced there, much like Whitney Houston, whose voice I loved, that was powerful without having to force it at all, especially during her best years. | |
